About the role

‍

We are looking for a talented and meticulous publications designer, someone who lives and breathes typesetting and editorial design to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about all aspects of print, publishing, and design in general, bringing a keen eye for detail, creativity and layout skills to a range of editorial projects.

Working on delivering a range of publications across multiple clients, you’ll be confident in taking various projects from layout conception and development, through meticulous art-working to print/publishing. You will be comfortable working to tight deadlines, within various brand guidelines and dealing directly with clients and printers as part of a team delivering high-quality publications across some of sports biggest brands and events.

With a minimum of 3+ years industry experience, we are looking for someone who is ready to take their next big challenge head-on.

Skills and experience

‍

• 3+ years' design agency experience.
• Fully capable in Creative Suite, particularly InDesign.
• A keen eye for typography, a love of typesetting and editorial design.
• Meticulous attention to detail, thorough file set-up to art-working skills and impeccable housekeeping are all a must.
• Understanding of grids, style sheets and the preparation for print process.
• Ability to work to brand guidelines and a high level of craft.
• Commercial awareness and confidence dealing directly with clients.
• Interest, knowledge and experience in digital publishing is beneficial.
• This role is almost exclusively for clients within the sports industry. A basic knowledge of this sector is useful but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• An open and sociable personality is also essential. We are looking for a team player!
